For owner Megan Wince, opening Dolls&Flaws was the result of both her professional journey as a stylist and her deep roots in Culpeper County. After beginning her career working under others, Megan took a leap of faith, building her business from the ground up out of her mom’s basement. As her clientele grew, so did her vision.
“It became clear that my guests deserved a space that matched the experience I wanted to provide—one that was welcoming, professional, and intentional,” Megan shares.
Choosing downtown Culpeper was a natural next step. Born and raised in the community, Megan knew she wanted to invest back into the place that shaped her, creating a salon that felt both elevated and deeply local.
Behind the chairs at Dolls&Flaws are Megan and stylist Alana, a creative duo who bring passion, artistry, and authenticity into every appointment. Together, they’ve cultivated an environment where clients feel comfortable being themselves and supported through every season of life.
“What I love most about my work is hearing my clients’ stories and being part of their lives, even in the hard seasons,” Megan says. “Opening this salon has opened many doors and allowed me to connect with incredible people from all walks of life.”
